Morning Roundup
January 30th, 2007 by Wayne Garcia in The Morning PapersNo intro needed:
- Kudos to the Tampa Tribune for writing about each and every cable TV debate in the races for mayor and City Council over the past four days. They’re not groundbreaking stuff but important for democracy. The Times attended but did not write daily news stories about what the candidates said, using some of the info in various analysis stories like this one.
- Ernie Haire Ford … Tammmmmmm-puh!
- Nice scoop, but is it really worth that much public money to bring this company to town?
- Interesting quote. Comment to John Morgan: takes one to know one.
- Here’s my winner for the "Actual Newspaper Headline that Looks Like it was in The Onion" Award today.
- Fly owners to expand?
- I’m a few days behind on this, but here is the definitive primer on property tax reform and the various bills that are in the hopper already in Tallahassee. So why does it take a blogger to do it and not the good ol’ MSM??
- This kind of shit about the MSM cracks me up. And how come we don’t have scantily clad baristas here?
- Drawing the doughnut and tossing the hot dog through it.
