It just hit me how much Louis C.K. looks like George Carlin in this photo. It’s a complete “Carlin stance.”

The show was great, by the way, and going to McCurdy’s felt like visiting a piece of comedy’s past. You know, back when the smoke in the room could choke a small child, the language was foul and real, and the material was biting and edgy.

I heard it through the grapevine that Les McCurdy is pretty tight with a number of well-known comics … maybe he and CK are friends? Or perhaps he was offered a deal he couldn’t refuse? I think it’s most bizarre because tourist season hasn’t started yet in Sarasota. But the room WAS packed, so I guess the lack of out-of-towners didn’t matter.
