VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE WATERFRONT SPOTS
May 7th, 2008 by Web Editor in CL Events, Random Acts
Is your favorite on our list of 50? Do you have some to add? Vote for your favorite waterfront bars and restaurants below. And if you don’t see your favorite, write it in the comments at the bottom of the ballot.
Think of it as your first chance to fire a salvo in this fall’s 2008 Best of the Bay battle. Because what’s better than a Best of the Bay winner that’s actually on the Bay (or the Gulf, the Hillsborough or the Intracoastal)?

I Love the Friendly Fisherman Restaurant in John’s Pass Village on Madeira Beach. You can’t get much closer to the water unless you are on a boat.

The Friendly Fisherman Resturant in John’s Pass, has got to be the greatest resturant that I have ever visited. The food, the staff.. oh the view.. what more can I say

The Friendly Fisherman is an island tradition. I have been going there since 1968. Atleast it is one place on the beach that has not changed. The breakfasts are awesome (Crab Benedict).

i went with Frenchy’s, because it’s one of the few places that pair great food with great beach access.
as for views and pure drinking pleasure, i am sure i could think of a couple other choices instead.

The Undertow is definitely the best bar/restaurant on the beach. The sand is beautiful, the food is excellent and inexpensive (a rare combination), and the service is great. Also, there’s a fantastic view of the beach from the new deck upstairs!

Watercolour Steakhouse and Grille is not on the list. What a shame. The best steak I’ve ever had!!

Domain Food & Spirits has really lifted the spirits of the Gulfport waterfront. New ownership, new energy, new menu, same great views and location in Gulfport’s art village. My new regular hangout.
