Local makeup artist Jami Svay, as featured in the Charlotte Observer, Blu Magazine, and today on waxMaMa.com, has made it big (and I don’t say that just because we’re mentioning her here on Klepto). Her line of lip balm, Tastee Cosmetics, was recently the star of the show on QVC. Check out the video.

This FREE event, to be held at Neighborhood Theatre on Oct. 1, is comprised of a panel discussing local music in Charlotte, as well as a concert of select artists from Jeff Hahne’s Homebrew Volume 3, a CD compilation of local music. And did we mention it’s FREE?
Beyoncé performed last week in Atlanta, and she brought local radio guy/stuntman Cubby (from 96.1’s Brotha Fred’s AM Mayhem) on stage to show off a little of his moves. Here’s the video:
