Swine flu attempted to infect our offices recently. Intern Nicole came down with a case of the H1N1, and we made her stay home until she was all better. Since today’s her first day back, she shares with us (and you, dear readers) her tale of what it was like to have the dreaded swine flu.
CL music contributor Mike McCray sat down with NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr. before he jumped in the DJ Hero Chevy for the Bank of America 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Saturday. There was a free demo of the game, which drops Oct. 27, for fans as well as a DJ Hero showdown between Martin + Mike after their interview (Video tomorrow).
CL Music Editor Jeff Hahne chats with a couple members of the local band Heywire, who will be a part of a FREE event dubbed so cooly Project: Homebrew. This FREE event, to be held at Neighborhood Theatre on Oct. 1, is comprised of a panel discussing local music in Charlotte, as well as a concert of select artists from Jeff Hahne’s Homebrew Volume 3, a CD compilation of local music. And did we mention it’s FREE?
Mellow Mushroom set up their mobile ovens in Uptown Charlotte today (Monday, Sept. 28) and treated everybody to a free slice. CL blogger, Mike McCray, talked with Mellow Mushroom’s Josh Weinstein about the event.
