Music festival Nophest returns in ’08!

Nophi Recordings celebrates Nophest 4 & 20 over the weekend of Fri., Apr. 18, 2008 – Sun., Apr. 20 at Park Grounds, a dog park/ coffee shop in Reynoldstown. The music festival begins at sundown on Fri. and runs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sat. and Sun. Over fifty bands fill the weekend with a variety of music from across the southeast.
This year marks the first time the festival is being held at two venues. The first is Park Grounds, located at 142 Flat Shoals Ave in Reynoldstown, near the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA Station. The second is the gallery-style home at 166 Stovall Ave, Atlanta next to Park Grounds.
There will also be a series of smaller house parties, including the Pre-Fest Cookout. During the day, live DJs will perform as arts and crafts are showcased outside. After dark, independent films will be played on a theatre-sized movie screen while the music continues indoors. Independent music and film are the stars of Nophest, and indie rock & electronics are equally represented throughout the festival. Park Grounds will house rock acts, while the house on Stovall will feature the electronics.
