I remember at his Merlefest set a couple of years ago, when as he sang an enormous shooting star crossed the sky over the stage, making for a very memorable evening. My personal favorite song of his is "Hello In There" about an aging couple. Brings the tears every time: You know that old trees just grow stronger, And old rivers run wilder every day, Old people just grow lonesome, waiting for someone, to say Hello in there, oh. That song is definitely one of his finest moments (among many).
