August 19th, 2008 by Chad Radford in Music news
After a lengthy break from playing any shows in Atlanta, the Athens-based orchestral pop band Venice is Sinking will appear at Kavarna on Fri., Sept. 12th. Since their last Atlanta appearance the group lost their bass player, recorded a second album with Scott Solter (Spoon, Mountain Goats), released their first album, Sorry About the Flowers, in China on a label called Tag Team Records and recorded yet a third album with producer David Barbe (Sugar) at The Georgia Theatre, that went straight to analog tape using only 2 microphones.
