Vivian Girls sucked. The drummer walked off stage and immediately said to her roadie, “We sucked so bad.”

What else would I like to know? Plenty of things! From this write-up, I get that Vivian Girls hail from Brooklyn and are both “somber” and “freewheeling” and performed hazy songs. Fuck me for wondering what they actually SOUND like. Give me some reference points…other bands, whatever. The writer says they played the song exactly like they are on the album, well, tell me about the album then! It’s far from an unreasonable request to actually want to know something/anything about the music. If Radford wants to bitch about gas and politics, there are other places for it.

Hey Gah,

There was plenty about Vivian Girls in the CL and in Crib Notes. What else could you want to know about the, as you put it, “obscure act.” I was there. Tyvek sucked. Rizzudo sucked. Chad did them a favor by glossing over it. The conversations on the patio were far more interesting than the show itself. Did you really feel soooooooooooo motivated by his review that you just had to leave your little anonymous comment? Puh-lease grow up!

i saw stereolab and atlas sound at variety play house this weekend and it was not nearly as crowded as i thought it would be. not having gas was all that anyone that i knew talked about. i for one am not going to any more shows this week because i have no gas in my car:(

good viviangirls review. wish i could have seen them.

Shame the Vivian Girls got a whole two sentences here. Why even pose like you’re writing a review if you’re going to bitch about gas and the dubious argument that its the reason people don’t come out to see an obscure act? Puh-lease.
