Robbery and assault at Feed Your Head Music in EAV
July 27th, 2009 by Chad Radford in Music newsAccording to the East Atlanta neighborhood message board eavbuzz.net, Feed Your Head Music (493 Flat Shoals) owner Thom Osbourn was the victim of a robbery/assault that happened in the record store around 10:20 p.m on Sunday.
According to the post at eavbuzz.net,
A young, black male entered and appeared to have a gun concealed in a chip bag. He asked Tom for all his money. Tom told him that he didn’t have any sales for the day, so the kid told him he was going to take Tom’s laptop. Tom told him to take it. The kid seemed to get frustrated when he couldn’t get the power cord. Tom told him he didn’t need it. Tom discovered that the gun was actually a cell phone in the chip bag. The kid began hitting Tom with his fists. Then he picked up a turntable and an amp and hit Tom in the head with them. Tom grabbed a bat and they struggled. They ended up on the floor.
Randal was still next door at So Trendy and heard the yelling. He called 911 and grabbed his pistol. He ran outside and looked through Tom’s door. Once he was certain that the kid didn’t have a weapon, Randal entered and told the kid to stay on the floor or he would blow the kid’s head off.
The police arrived about thirteen minutes later, then the paramedics. Tom had some lacerations, but appeared to be fine. His girlfriend, Rose, took him to Grady for stitches.
The kid turned out to be thirteen-years-old. The police have taken him into custody and will charge him with armed robbery and aggravated assault. His mother and grandmother came down to the store and apologized to Tom. They said that the kid had been running around with some older boys who put him up to things in the past and got him in trouble.

This makes me sick! Kids committing roberies to earn trust in a gang. The Gang is running ewith stolen cars. Where is the family thru all this? cant we teach our kids any morals? Im tired of people letting thier kids raise themselves on the streets. Its a sad day when

He’s thirteen. If you think the kid’s beyond redemption and should be killed at thirteen you’ve got problems of your own with ‘the path of violence’.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Thom is a Class A D-Bag and probably provoked the kid by blathering on for 20 mins about useless and incorrect Beatles trivia.

I know Thom. I went to school with him. Thom was suspended from School a few times, and relocated to another district for his own safety. Thom was know as the man who would pay good money, or trade audio equipment, for a glimpse of a male’s private area. I was hoping, this was untrue, but seeing he was beaten by another pre-teen black male, I guess he just can’t stop. If you have a child, please do not let them shop at feed your head, that is code for what he wants to see. Thom, was seeing his area worth getting beat up, or is that the payoff for that fetish.
