Janelle Monae’s new song, “Come Alive (The War of the Roses)” is being released today via Kia Soul Collective — a group of highly-touted artists comprised to help market the auto brand. The energetic, pop-punk song is also a sneak peek into what’s in store from Monae’s 2010 sophomore follow-up to her Wondaland Arts Society/Bad Boy/Atlantic debut Metropolis: The Chase Suite.

JM is a beast for this one! I really feel sooooo much energy from this song…it’s going on heavy rotation on my playlist. This song is awesome!

Definitely Janelle Monae at her finest. This song makes you want to do all sorts of crazy. Love the energy and the vocals on this.

This is the hottest shit i have heard in a very long time… the high energy makes u have to move… u have no choice…. i am ready for the next cd when ever it may drop!!!! completely Zoolander this track!!
