AUX Fest, an experimental arts festival held at several venues in downtown Athens, Ga., returns this Sat., April 10 for its fourth annual event. AUX4, as it’s been dubbed, will feature musical performances from over 20 artists, art installations, a bevy of video screenings and more.

?
AUX has done much to further the art/experimental scene in Athens. Back in October, the group brought krautrock legends Faust to town for a 40 Watt performance and musical workshop.

As an attendee of previous AUX gatherings, I can say that the festival is well worth the measly $5 pass, which gets you access to all the goings-on. This year’s musical lineup looks to be a doozy, with Chicago weirdos/ex-Need New Body folks Michael Columbia and Brooklyn guitar/viola duo Mary Halvorson & Jessica Pavone effectively headlining the festivities.
