ROCK SHOW 2 opens tonight at Composition Gallery

Atlanta music photographers Perry Julien (whose images often grace the virtual and printed pages of Creative Loafing) and Annette Brown host the opening reception for ROCK SHOW2 tonight at Composition Gallery in Candler Park.
While both photographers focus on respective crops of home grown music, Julien’s images often represent a “from the pit” perspective while Brown’s work is based largely around studio compositions. However, neither Julien or Brown limit their work to one perspective or the other, and the photos represented in this show cover broad, intertwining swathes of musical images.
The reception goes from 7-10 p.m. and the show runs through Sun., Aug. 23. Composition Gallery is located at 1388 McLendon Ave. 678-982-9764.
