All Night Drug Prowling Wolves tonight w/ Leatherface at The Drunken Unicorn
Monday, November 3rd, 2008Tonight Atlanta pub-rock lit. punks All Night Drug Prowling Wolves take the stage at The Drunken Unicorn before heading out on a four-day Southeastern tour playing with long-time friend and mentor Leatherface.
A few weeks back the group celebrated the release of their debut CD/LP via Brooklyn label, Colonel Records. Local DJ, Reactionary Records owner and writer Paul Tilghmon, better known to the tenets and tourists of Little 5 Points as Park-It Paul A.K.A. DJ Sars, tracked down the elusive Wolves the night of their record release party a few weeks back to find out more about the record.
Paul caught-up with the group’s frontman Tom Cheshire for this telling and provocative rendezvous in the mens room at The Star bar.
Paul Tighlmon: So how are your tabs around town?
Tom Cheshire: Pretty good, I think I’m paid up with most bars and everyone else. speaking of tabs, I was at my chiropractor the other day and she said that you had a tab with her.
Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me, we’ll talk about it later.
We’ll talk about it later.
I heard something happened today with you and a couple of your clients around lunch time, what was that about?
Oh that. Had some friends in town last night so we got in around 6 a.m. and had to be up by 8 a.m. The clients wanted Chinese Food. So I went to pick it up at 11 a.m. I got the food and put in my trunk… I woke up in the restaurant lot @ 11:45 (laughter…).
