I missed the new movie this summer due to my father’s death. I was very excited to purchase the new DVD. OH MY GAWD! What have they done to my beloved Star Trek???? I don’t need or want to see Mr. Spock kissing pooing Uhura!!!! Don’t get me wrong Uhura (especially the original) is a knock out beauty, but I just don’t need to see them kissing and groping on the bridge!
I guess I am am an old 54 year old man who has watched the original (over and over) for 44 years. They made star Trek a knock off of Star Wars!!! The ship looked terrible, the aliens were stolen from Star Wars and the plot sucked. And they have mysterious stoic mystical Mr. Spock kissy pooing Uhura having Bridge sex! YUCK!!!! It is a terrible movie, bring them back from what ever time-line the producers stuck them in…I want my heros back in “real” Star Trek time!!!!!!

"Hominid" review, 11/15/09
By Valerie Gregg
Power and sex—those eternal instigators of the human drama—lie at the center of a bold new theater production based on the book "Chimpanzee Politics: Power and Sex Among Apes," by Frans de Waal, professor of Primate Behavior at Emory University and director of the Living Links Center at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center. With bold production and larger venues, "Hominid" has major international splash potential. A masterful blend of science and theater, the play provides a humanistic context for de Waal's findings on primate social behavior like empathy, conflict resolution, and cooperation. Out of Hand Theater, writer Ken Weitzman, and Theater Emory brought "Hominid" to the stage at Emory University this past week to small audiences. Some scientists in this new genomic age might find Darwin and Shakespeare passe, but de Waal finds their power undeniable. "There has always been a denial of power relationships in science and academia," he said November 15. "A taboo. That's why Machiavelli has a bad name.... Chimpanzees are most interested in power and sex, just like humans."
And so it goes. Evolution morphs social behaviors and structure. The Old Masters still have plenty of play in this brave, new techno-genomic world. Masters of Art are documenting massive social change as we speak, just as they always have. to Out of Hand Theater, Frans de Waal, and Emory University pulled off a cooperative coup with the creation of this little masterpiece. With courage, conviction, and funding, this kind of work could help bridge the chasm of educational and socioeconomic differences that threaten society's well-being.

MediaCurves.com conducted a study among 286 viewers of a news clip featuring several new late night talk shows with ethnically diverse hosts. Results found that that the majority of viewers (60%) reported that they were most likely to watch Lopez Tonight. The majority of viewers (75%) reported that it was important to have racial or ethnic diversity on late night TV talk shows. The Jay Leno Show was rated as the most watched evening talk show.
More in depth results can be seen at:

The more I read it, the more it impresses me. I don’t know how I ever worked without hilarious and funny things in our life, Life would be so much easier especially when there's a jokes here and there. Being funny is nice because a lot of serious people are lacking with this kind of behavior that is why they are much look older. I would like to thank you for your outstanding blog post. Keep it up! Awesome!
