Five Things to Do Today

entertainment, including guest appearances by Reno 911’s Carlos Alazraqui and Cedric Yarbrough (Officer James Garcia and Deputy S. Jones, respectively), and a set of stand-up by comedian Mike Birbiglia (pictured at left, photo by Brian Friedman). 7 p.m., USF Sun Dome, 4202 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, $10 general/free for USF students with I.D.
2. Gravelly-voiced singer-songwriter Jake La Botz returns with another tour through Tattoo shops with his twangy, acoustic guitar-driven blues. 8 p.m., Las Vegas Tattoo Co., 1829 E. Seventh Ave., Ybor City, 813-248-3004.
3. The nonprofit Centre for Women stages its 17th annual Gourmet Feastival & Silent Auction tonight. 6-9 p.m., Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, downtown Tampa, $60, 813-251-8437.
4. The Ritz Ybor presents Movie Night, with snacks, drinks and live spins at 6 p.m. and screenings to follow at 7 p.m. The first flick is Fight Club, David Fincher’s dark dramedy based on the book by Chuck Palahniuk that intertwines themes of anti-consumerism and masculinity into a story about a man who starts an underground club where men beat the shit out of each other as a sort of therapy. Pure Brad Pitt awesomeness. The second selection at 9:15 p.m. is To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, a 1995 comedy that stars Patrick Swayze, John Leguizamo and Wesley Snipes as drag queens whose car breaks down in a small, conservative Midwestern town. 1503 E. 5. Beaux Arts Gallery hosts a “Thursday Night Live Arts Showcase” featuring an exhibit of ceramics, photography, metal art, oil and acrylic paintings, and mixed media by James Oleson, Erin Smith, Virginia Splater, Bryant Martinez, William Talenti, Kerry Volser and several others. Guests enjoy live blues, wine and beverages, and food by Mojitos. 6-9 p.m., Winthrop Town Center, 11252 Winthrop Main St., Riverview, 813-777-7517.
