For its 16th Anniversary Bash, Skatepark of Tampa welcomes the latest band from Brooklyn to generate a buzz, Les Savy Fav (pictured below); also on the bill are No Age and How Dare You. For more info, see Upcoming Concerts. Sat., Dec. 6, 9 p.m., Czar, Ybor City, $10.

Another area institution, Jobsite Theater, also celebrates an anniversary this weekend with its annual fundraiser-cum-wrap party. Jobsite’s Rockin’ 10th Birthday Party features the Jobby Awards, sets of music by Bay area bands Nessie, Poetry n’ Lotion, and The Vodkanauts, and raffle drawings throughout the night. Sat., Dec. 6, 8 p.m., New World Brewery, Ybor City, $10.

Event number three in Ybor City this Saturday night is Virgin 2.0, a Square One Creative multi-disciplinary fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Guests enjoy live music, dance performances, a fashion show, an exhibit of works featuring 85 or so artists and food. Sat., Dec. 6, 7 p.m.-midnight, The Ritz Ybor, free admission.

The 11th edition of The Chocolate Nutcracker is presented this weekend at Mahaffey Theater. Dec. 6-7, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sat., 3 p.m. Sun., St. Petersburg, $12-$37.

Two downtown St. Petersburg art houses host family-centric events this Sunday. The Arts Center presents its “Winter Wonderland Family Day,” at which kids of all ages enjoy hands-on activities like ornament decorating and holiday card making. Other diversions include clay and watercolor demos, live music by Vivace Violins, an awards show in honor of the Word & Image Elementary School exhibit, and more. Museum of Fine Arts offers “A Gift to the Community.” Attendees enjoy with jolly old St. Nick, holiday music by the Largo High School Madrigal Choir, performances by students of the Soulful Arts Dance Academy, an interactive presentation, “Seasonal Stories” by Nan Colton, an authentic Korean Tea Ceremony, ornament and greeting card-making activities, and more. Sun., Dec. 7, 1-4 p.m., St. Petersburg, free admission.

St. Pete Art Beat stages its second annual “Artist Invasion in Williams Park.” More than 50 artists and vendors hawk goodies, an all-volunteer lineup of musicians that includes the Jim Morey Band, Extinction of Man, D’Visitors, and Tribal Style perform, and intermissions feature Revolution Dance Company, the Mouse Vader Break Dance Competition, and a fashion and New York-style hair show, and freestyle painting by 20 or so artists. Fri., Dec. 5, 7 p.m.-midnight, St. Petersburg, free admission.

Tampa’s latest hip coffeehouse hang out, Café Hey, celebrates one year of doing business with an art and photography show featuring Heather Forsyth, Irma Diaz, Cathy Hughes, Amanda Gahn, Nicole Sutherland, Christina Cedeno, Molly Malnic, and Bradley L’Herou as well as music by DJ Fuego, Hooker and the Cheap Hotels, Bob Hope Was a Pedophile, and Bill Johnston. Fri., Dec. 5, 8 p.m.-midnight, downtown Tampa, free admission.
