Ambient + Studio Sat., Nov. 10, 10 a.m. Atlanta Veg Fest. On Sat., Nov. 10, the inaugural Atlanta Veg Fest at downtown’s Ambient Plus Studio will celebrate the benefits of living a vegan lifestyle with food-centric lectures by authors and advocates, vegan cooking demonstrations, and plenty of vegan-friendly options to sample on-site. Speakers include Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary’s Jenny Brown and vegan cookbook authors Terry Hope Romero, Bianca Phillips, and Alicia Simpson. Details

The Beer Growler Sat., Nov. 10, 12 p.m. Fire in the Hole: First Annual Chili Cook-Off. Fire in the Hole: First Annual Chili Cook-Off is presented by Oskar Blues Brewery and the Beer Growler. Individual and restaurant teams will prepare chili for the Avondale Estates masses and four guest judges to celebrate Oskar Blues Brewery’s 10 year anniversary. Competitors must use one of Oskar Blues’ hot sauces in their chili. Chili will be available for free from the competitors. There will be other vendors, live music, and a cornhole tournament. Details
