Preparations for Obama inauguration ramp up as Tuesday draws near

We can’t help but marvel at the booth constructed in front of the White House where Obama and his family will be watching the parade once they complete the route:

Obama’s transition gets $8.5 million in taxpayer dollars to operate the cermeonies, and Obama hopes to raise an additional $3.5 million.
Performing at Sunday’s official opening celebration is a stunning lineup, including Bruce Springsteen, U2, Beyoncé, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Josh Groban, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Herbie Hancock, Jenifer Nettles, will.i.am and Pete Seeger.
