Millionaire, Button pull in big Oscar hauls
January 22, 2009 at 8:58 am by David WarnerNominations were announced this morning for the Oscars, and there were some surprises — particularly the differing fortunes of two Kate Winslet vehicles: The Reader won several noms, including Best Actress for Winslet (who won a Best Supporting award at the Golden Globes for the same role) and Best Picture. But her Revolutionary Road got snubbed. Other no-shows in the Best Pic list: Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino and box office champ The Dark Knight.
