Thursday
6-8 p.m. – Closing party for Contemporary Chinese Photography with a performance by Paul Wilborn and the Blue Roses at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. Admission ($10 for museum members, $12 students over 21 and $15 for non-members) includes wine and hors d‘oeuvres.
Friday
8-11 p.m. – Double Takes Second Annual Dalí Look-Alike Contest, featuring a screening of the competition videos and an exhibition of surrealist artworks, at Gallery Live. (Event continues Saturday night.)
Saturday
10 a.m.-5 p.m. – Mid-Florida Mayfaire By-the-Lake, hosted by the Polk Museum of Art, in downtown Lakeland. Outdoor art fair featuring work by 180 artists.
4-8 p.m. – World’s Largest Coffee Break (4-5 p.m.) followed by an opening reception (5-8 p.m.) for 3rd Annual Invitational Teapot Show at Craftsman House Gallery.
6-9 p.m. – Happiness: New Works by Allison Massari at Interior Motives Gallery.
8 p.m.-12 a.m. – Zero Modern Arts Directory print launch art party at ARTpool. Featuring work by Sarasota-based artists Toby Albright, Joseph Arnegger, Cindy Mason, Tim Jaeger, Sabrina Small, John Revisky and others, along with St. Petersburg-based artists Marina Williams and Bluelucy. Admission ($20) includes food, drinks and entertainment. Preview the book here.
9 p.m.-12 a.m. – Double Takes Second Annual Dalí Look-Alike Contest, featuring an in-person competition, awards ceremony and Dalí birthday party, at the Salvador Dalí Museum.
Sunday
