Sex Bites: this week’s sex and love news in review
May 10, 2009 at 11:00 am by W.J. L'amourFrom bodies, to bodies having sex: A new exhibit by Gunther von Hagens, the artist of “Bodies … the
Exhibition,” opened this week in Berlin. “The Cycle of Life” uses the same materials of skinned and preserved human remains, but this time the bodies are placed in sexual positions. Von Hagens says his exhibition shows “the biology of reproduction and the nature of sexuality,” while his critics say he showcases “tastelessness.”
Roman Polanski, still on the run: Los Angeles judge denies Roman Polanski’s request to dismiss a decades old charge of having sex with a minor.
Obama says ‘no’ to ‘just say no‘: President Obama’s proposed 2010 budget replaces George W. Bush’s $100 million abstinence program, spending $110 million for comprehensive teen pregnancy prevention. I don’t know about you, but I think that extra $10 million is well spent.
Wrong, but still hot: Gunaxin ran a post this week called “Teacher Appreciation Week: 25 Hottest Sex Offenders.” A commenter called this a “tragically terrific list,” as we agree. Who do YOU think is the hottest teacher sex offender?
If u have sex underwater, do u need a condom?: “When the Cellphone Teaches Sex Education,” the feature article of last New York Times’ Sunday Styles, spoke about an organization that teaches sex education (in a state with abstinence-only curriculum) via personal text messages. Wonder if they accept adult, out of state texts?
