The Morean Arts Center and The Studio@620 continue to bring current art and issues to the community — this time, with a month’s worth of advance screenings of Art21-Art in the Twenty-First Century, the national TV series with a focus on contemporary art. This week’s installment in the Dalí and Beyond Film Series is Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s City of Lost Children, a “fairy tale for adults” about a circus strongman who wanders a port town in search of his missing baby brother, and an evil scientist who robs dreams from the children he captures. St. Petersburg Opera Maestro Mark Sforzini presents “What’s the Fach?” for the new series, Evenings with the Maestro. Learn how to determine fach (a German word denoting the classification of voice types) — what’s the difference between a full dramatic soprano and a light lyric coloratura soprano?
