Internet dating has fast become a popular way to meet people. There are sites for every type of relationship: singles, couples, swingers, cheaters, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and friends. However, the universe of the internet continues to expand, delving into ever more specific niches. Here are some samples of the hyper specific dating sites I’ve come across.

My favorite site so far is Cougarlife.  I’m not quite a cougar (I’m 37), but I do fancy a younger 20-something man, and would be happy to join this site!

For those who have a very particular fetish, you may find a potential partner in Extreme Restraints Dating, where members are encouraged to explore their hidden fantasies.  I poked around this site (its free!) and discovered there are some real hotties with fetishes I’ve never even imagined!

There are even dating sites for people with STDs.  Some had unfavorable names such as STD Friends or  Match STD (maybe it just bothers me). One was called Positive Singles (this feels a little better).  This is a great idea.  The reality is that many people have STDs, and these people should be able to date openly.

The site that puzzled me the most was Amish online dating.  I grew up in the Midwest where there was a sizable Amish community.  From my understanding, most Amish don’t have electricity, computers, or internet service, so what good would online dating do them. Maybe Amish is code for some kink I don’t know about yet.

With all the time you’re out meeting dates you met online, doesn’t your dog or cat deserve a little loving? Log on to Date My Pet and find the perfect match for your turtle, mouse, or even yourself.  This site matches not only pets, but their owners too!

I found tons of other dating options.  Dating for music lovers, dating for tattooed singles, date a fellow book lover, find a partner who is 420 friendly, or find a fellow car lover.  There really is something for everyone!
