Election night, USA: GOP gets a triple sweep in VA
November 3, 2009 at 8:25 pm by David WarnerGovernor, Lieutenant Governor and Atty General all go to the Republicans in Virginia, with Bob McDonnell thoroughly trouncing Democratic opponent Creigh Deeds for the top spot — a defeat that’s no surprise to anyone. Interestingly enough, RNC chair Michael Steele on CNN comes off as idiotic in victory as he usually does in defeat, as he tries to backpedal in support of Conservative Party Congressional candidate Doug Hoffman in New York, the only Republican-esque candidate left standing after the GOP’s choice, Dede Scozzfava, dropped out.
