I had so much fun in Key West for Fantasy Fest it should be illegal (though I’m sure some of it was, or very damn close).  The boat ride on the Key West Express was well worth it. We got there in a fraction of the time and my friend Melissa and I got a head start on the festivities by sucking down White Russians and talking to Fantasy Fest veterans and fellow virgins. My favorite old pros were Bob and Rita who gave us a heads up on the freaky crazy fun of swinger groups who meet in Key West just to have sex with one another and go to kink parties. We quickly realized how true their anecdote was when we stepped off the boat and were promptly offered a free room by some NYC cops. Unfortunately they were a bit vague as to the terms of their offer.

The best word to describe what I saw in Key West is WOW!! I knew I was going to see some weird shit at Fantasy Fest but no amount of preparation or pictures can ready a person for the real thing: a celebration of parades, naked people, drunken stupors, and casual sex.

I had so much fun I won’t go to Key West again unless it’s for Fantasy Fest; it would be too much of a let down. Each night the streets were packed with old people, young people, straight people, painted people, gay people, and lesbian people. And all these people were getting drunk and partying their asses off–and yes I do mean their asses. See below….

The bars are open until 4 AM, and you can take your alcohol with you as long as it’s in a plastic cup, which was great for those of us who didn’t want to risk being without a drink on the walk to the adjacent bar.

We meet Ron on the stoop of Sloppy Joe’s. He wanted to show us his cock and buy us alcohol. Great fucking deal right? He wanted a rating on how big it was. I laughed and Melissa got embarrassed.   But this is what Fantasy Fest is about: shedding inhibitions and being something you’re not. I have to admit, my favorite part of the trip was the amount of men who just wanted to show me their dick for fun. And somehow this was not at all creepy.

Dancing on the bar is a favorite activity of Fantasy Festers. Some bars even had their own stripper poles connecting the bar to the ceiling. Fucking sweet right. The men got a little crazy wanting to see women on the pole. I had to push my way across the floor of the Lazy Lizard through a crowd of guys pushing toward the exhibitionists on the bar.  If you have to see a thong and boobs up close that bad, splurge on a $20 lap dance.

Each night there were theme parties and people were dressed up, or not dressed at all. The only rule with the dress code is that you can’t be full on naked. People had to either have body paint on or at least some scrap of material dangling from their naughty bits. For more photos check out my myspace.
