Dreaming of marriage as death

“Hi! I live in Tampa. A while ago, I dreamt that I was getting married. Everything seemed to be normal at the wedding, until I looked at a picture that someone had taken. My gown was black, as were my bridesmaids. The whole male wedding party was also wearing nothing but black! I’m only 14 years old, don’t have a boyfriend, and definitely DON’T want to be married. Can you tell me what this means?” (sic)
It’s interesting that at an age when young girls fantasize about boys, weddings, marriage, etc., you are sooo adamant that you DON’T want to get married. What’s up with that?
I’ll tell you. Clearly to you, and this is very sad to Dream Momma, marriage means death or depression. Dream Momma knows that something has happened in your young life to paint such a grim picture of an experience that other girls your age would be coloring brightly and decorating with flowers, birds, angels, etc. She definitely doesn’t want you to continue thinking these dark thoughts so urges you to seek out a school counselor and discuss this. Hopefully, in a few years you will have a different picture in your head. Let me know how you are doing.
