Al Gore speaks out about climate change action on SNL: “I’m going to start acting crazy”

As part of ‘Green Week‘ on NBC, Al Gore was a special guest on Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. He spoke out about the issue of global warming and that nothing is being done by our government to start making changes to solve the global climate problems. He also spoke about his new book, Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, and how it details ways we can address the problem of this current climate crisis.
But Gore claimed, in this video clip below, to have a backup plan in case his approach doesn’t work: “I’m gonna start acting crazy.”
Watch the video after the break.
After his numerous efforts to get the message across that we’re seriously screwing up this planet, through scientific research and studies, he’s had enough. He claimed, “Instead of science, I’m going with crazy.”
My favorite plan of Gore’s: He wants to “start planting tress in politicians’ front yards in the middle of the night and tape toy guns in the branches pointed to the doors so, when they wake up and walk out of their houses in the morning, they’ll think its the forest coming to get their revenge.”
Gore goes on to speak out against deforestation, factory farming, and energy waste, and says it’s imperative that we start using renewable energy and sustainable agriculture, and start planting billions of trees.
But, if all else fails: “I’m taping toy guns to trees.”
