Why do sex tapes of former beauty queens continue to hit the news? Do pageant winners have a fetish for being photographed and videotaped? Or, do fading celebrities make sex tapes at the same frequency as the rest of us–it’s just that audiences actually want to see these professionally beautiful people performing sex acts?

It seems the Miss California 2009, Carrie Prejean, solo sex tape scandal has been trumped by a threesome sex tape involving Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2008 (Anya Ayoung-Chee), her boyfriend/videographer Wyatt Gallery, and another woman originally thought to be Miss Japan 2008 (Hiroko Mima). Carrie Prejean is the latest tabloid queen, poised to gain ever more fame and fortune off her pubic indiscretions. The latest twist in this dethroned beauty queen’s saga comes in the form a “sex tape,” which lawyers for the Miss California USA Pageant unveiled in court against Prejean. When Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew aired, I wondered why Dr. Drew was venturing into the realm of substance abuse instead of sticking with what made him famous: dispensing sex and love advice on his call-in show, Love Lines. This month, Dr. Drew reclaims his throne as the Oprah of American sex with the new reality show, Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew. Catching up on my Jon Hamm-stalking, I came across this video of the Mad Men’s leading man on Letterman’s Late Show last Friday.

In this clip, the ever-charismatic Hamm talks about his “proudest moment” of underemployment: working on late-night Cinemax productions, a.k.a. “Skinimax.” Before you get too excited about seeing Don’s dong, I’m sad to report that he was just a set dresser. Bummer, man.

He is pretty adorable talking about the job, however, using phrases like “nude-ular activity.”

Everyone has a list… a list of people you are allowed to sleep with while you’re in a relationship. For some, the realization of this list may not actually be “allowed,” but the list exists nonetheless.

In the beginning of my four year relationship, my boyfriend and I both mentioned people on our respective lists. I originally thought it was strange to talk about other people we lusted after, but times have changed and the list continues to evolve. I’ve seen a few of the people on my list recently and wasn’t impressed. They have since been replaced.

The juicy new video** was first reported by Gawker.com. The “sex tape” “allegedly” shows Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane getting naked n’ stoned with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and former Miss Teen USA, Kari Ann Peniche, who was stripped of her title after stripping her clothes for Playboy.

Since MTV’s The Hills began in the summer of 2006, Heidi Montag has gone from Lauren Conrad’s sweet best friend to Spencer Pratt’s feisty vixen. Montag has seemingly tried everything to stay in the celebrity spotlight, starting with her awful music video (directed by her new husband, Spencer) of Montag running and rolling on the beach in a bikini.

You know my mind got to thinking the other day when the heavens opened and Emmalee posted those lovely topless pictures of Megan Fox on the set of her new flick. We certainly are a society transfixed on celebrities, aren’t we? I can hear my boy, Hopp, now: “I’d let her do me.”  Hell wouldn’t we all?

After a few steamy minutes of uh, deep thinking something else came running into my frontal lobe: The Celebrity 5.  You know, that little list you have in your head (or printed and laminated) of the 5 celebrities you’d be free to have sex with should a miracle transpire that put you into a situation to do so?  It’s kind of silly, but we love movie stars and live for putting things into list form.

Cloris Leachman’s new autobiography goes beyond the standard Hollywood struggles and anecdotes, disclosing insight into her celebrity sex-capades.

Below are a few excerpts from the April 7 release, Cloris, including this classic description of epic sex with Gene Hackman.

“As we moved into the main course, it was as if a cosmic wind enveloped us. Some giant space magnet was pulling us together… We didn’t finish the meal. We went upstairs, flew into bed and made love. It was epic. And the next morning, Gene went back to his film and I went back to mine. I haven’t seen Gene since that night, but I remember well the feisty lad he was.”

In another passage Cloris describes a near sex encounter with “Mary Tyler Moore” costar Ed Asner:

“One day we made an agreement that I would have sex with him if he lost 32 pounds… He almost did it; he lost 29 pounds. We both got so disoriented at what we were facing that his weight shot back up, and our assignation never happened.”

Khloe Kardashian, the taller Armenian gypsy, has followed in the footsteps of her sister Kim in making a name for herself by taking off her clothes. Khloe joined the ranks of celebrity activists like Pamela Anderson in the PETA ad campaign: “Rather Go Naked.” I must admit, the pictures look pretty damn good. Granted, some heavy airbrush work was done, Khloe proves that tall, thick women can still be sexy–very sexy.

The question I always have is if in addition to fur, these PETA celebrities are contractually obligated to give up all leather accessories. How many cows die a year to support a celeb-utant’s shopping habits?
