Kama Sutra: the milch cow

Posted by ericleech on Aug. 31, 2009, at 10:30 am

This isn’t the most original position in the world, but sometimes it’s nice to be reminded of the little pleasures… and this is definitely one of them. The woman bends forward while gripping the bedstead, her buttock raised high. The man mounts her from behind then cups her breasts and squeezes them together. Read the rest of this entry »

‘The Bachelorette’ has returned, looking for love, but shouldn’t she be looking for some damn good sex? (video)

Posted by Rabid Nick Refer on May. 20, 2009, at 9:42 am

If you are anything like the master of sexual disaster, Rabid Nick, your boob tube was on 24 watching Jack Bauer kick ass last night.  However, undoubtedly many of you were watching terror threats of a different variety: the premiere of the latest season of The Bachelorette. Having been jilted on a previous season of The Bachelor, Jillian Harris has not given up on finding her knight in prime time television armor.  Her claim to fame is that she can figure out a man simply by analyzing the toppings he puts on his hot dogs.  Wow.  Don’t worry, if you watched, none of us will judge you for being vapid.

(Video and More after the jump)

See the Bolts for five bucks

Posted by Michael Murillo on Apr. 7, 2009, at 12:31 am

Okay, this has been a forgettable season for the Tampa Bay Lightning. They fired new coach Barry Melrose just 16 games into the season and the team has been eliminated from the playoffs. Vinny Lecavalier even went ahead and had wrist surgery to end his season early. But professional hockey is still fun to watch, and seeing it live is very different from seeing it on television. It’s a great experience.

And now, with the season winding down, you can see the team play Tuesday night for just $5. All you have to do is bring an old phone book to be recycled (do you even use those anymore?) to the PROSHRED truck at the plaza and you get a terrace-level ticket at a bargain price. It’s a great opportunity to see the team in action even if there won’t be any playoff games this year. The games are still fun so why not support the Lightning in one of their last home games? Besides that, the Pittsburgh Penguins are in town and you’ll get to see one of the league’s best players in Sidney Crosby. And did I mention that tickets are $5?

If all that’s not enough, it’s also Fan Appreciation Week. They have posters, special autograph opportunities and bands playing on the plaza. The game starts at 7:30 but the fan events begin at 4. If you’re going to see the team play, it’s the last week and a great price. Give it a try.

For more information, visit lightning.nhl.com.

And the final Cylon is…

Posted by Stephen Hammill on Jan. 19, 2009, at 12:38 pm

Ellen Tigh.

There you go. Surprised? Battlestar Galactica revealed its big secret during Friday’s season premiere on Sci-Fi.

Kate Vernon, the actress who plays Ellen Tigh, is kind of a cougar. And now she is the 12th Cylon. For those who don’t follow the series, it’s kind of like finding out who shot J.R. … or Mr. Burns.

Question is: Has the series jumped too many sharks at this point to win back its once loyal, if compact, fan base?

Big BG fan Kelvin Ma said this after the show: “Not bad. Season could go anywhere at this point. Prob. worth finishing.”

You can catch the episode online here.

A house divided: The paradox of football fandom

Posted by Holley Sinn on Dec. 17, 2008, at 1:40 pm

Sooner Holley:  In addition to the constant ribbing I’m getting lately about how “Tebow is Superman – just admit it” and how I better start mining for kryptonite, there’s a more personal Holley-criticism which is coming to me more and more frequently: Apparently, I lack objectivity.  By not admitting that Tim Tebow may as well be Zeus and Apollo combined because he has faced more top 50 defenses than Sammy B. and the Sooner offense, I am failing to recognize some legitimate facts and therefore, am not an objective fan.

Objective….Fan….Objective….Fan….there’s something that doesn’t feel right about that pairing of words.

Oh, it’s that they are completely contradictory.

If you are a “fan”, you have a bias.  That is the definition of the word.  You support a particular team, group, cause, ice cream flavor, grocery store, yada yada yada.  Objectivity doesn’t really have a place in “fandom” or “fannery” or “fanaticism”.  (I think that last one is the correct noun, but honestly, I like “fannery” the best.  It has a nice ring, doesn’t it?)

A house divided: Florida vs. Oklahoma equals domestic unrest

Posted by Holley Sinn on Dec. 15, 2008, at 11:32 am

Sooner Holley: About halfway through regular season play, my husband and I started talking about college football armageddon: The Florida Gators made an incredible turnaround after Tim Tebow’s moving speech following the Ole Miss game, and the Oklahoma Sooners started racking up touchdown after touchdown against every opponent following the Texas game.  Could it be possible that our two teams might meet in the BCS National Championship Game?

When conference championship weekend came to an end, we looked at each other and with a single glance; the battle line was drawn.  Not only would our teams, who had never in history met on the gridiron, see each other in a BCS match-up, it would be for the National Title.  Ever since, I have been inundated with Tebow propaganda… Read the rest of this entry »
