Dreaming of a first love breakup

Posted by Dream Momma on Nov. 4, 2009, at 2:45 pm

healingHands“Hi Dream Momma, I like your blog and was hoping you can help me as I think about this dream a lot. In the dream, I went with my family to visit my first love (of nearly a decade ago). I went in the house, and it was empty. Saw some things of his, then he appeared. We talked a little, all politely, openly, heart-achily. He wasn’t happy in his life, then his sister came in the room. She was really sweet, and was also stuck in a less than desirable situation. My current love joined us in the room and convo, and we ended up sitting and hugging all together, knowing that the shit was over, and we would help each other escape into happiness back in Atlanta. It was amazingly emotional.” (sic)

Dream-cheating while pregnant

Posted by Dream Momma on Oct. 9, 2009, at 11:30 am

“Dream Momma, I dreamed I was pregnant (which in real life I am) and that my husbands best friend entered my rooUnhappy-Pg-Womanm and started kissing my neck and I was going along with it. He then took off my clothes and his own clothes and showed me his big penis. I then told him to put on a condom because in my dream I was still aware I was pregnant. So we had sex (missionary style), which is not recommended to do while pregnant, but in my dream I let him because he wasn’t putting any pressure on my stomach like in real life my husband does. So while we were having sex, all I was thinking about was how I had just took my revenge that I was plotting against my husband and put it to action. We then finished and even though I did it to get back at my husband I begged him not to tell him. Still in my dream but later on that day we were all at the house and my husbands best friend was also there, but I felt so guilty. Even though I felt guilty I still wanted to do it again.” (sic)

Yikes, this is not good. Dream Momma wants to know why the hell you ever agreed to get pregnant? Or did you? Read the rest of this entry »

Waking up from a dream guilty and sweating

Posted by Dream Momma on Sep. 29, 2009, at 10:50 am

“Dream Momma, I always wake up feeling guilty and covered in sweat but cannot remember dreaming. What’s up with that?”Guilty

So, you’ve had a dream that soaked your pillow, woke you up.   Bothered you all the next day too.  “What the hell?”  you chewed. Well the hell is you’ve had a “big” dream, one like legendary dream analyst Carl Jung had as a kid.  In Jung’s dream, he was shitting on a church.  Tough dream, daytime nightmare really, for a kid whose dad was a minister.  Oh, the guilt and shame.

Guilt and shame are what a lot of cold sweat dreaming leaves us with.  Dream-cheated on your girlfriend with her mother (who has “lifted” her age backwards and looks kinda, sorta hot?)  Shame on you!  Or, you dream-stole from  the kids little league team you help coach?  What’s that about?  You’re an honest guy.  Or, gulp, imagine dreaming of seducing the kid you’re baby sitting.  Lots of guilt and shame there too.

Relax, it’s not what it appears to be. Read the rest of this entry »

Dreaming of a big Buddhist sword

Posted by Dream Momma on Sep. 8, 2009, at 11:38 am

Dream Momma,

I woke up after a dream about Manjushri. I only remember that I awoke not happy he carries a big sword.

First I’d like to enlighten the readers as to what and who Manjushri is so my interpretation makes sense.

Manjushri is seen as an emanating enlightened being in the Buddhist tradition. He is associated with wisdom, doctrine and awareness. He is also the meditation deity who embodies enlightened wisdom.

On the Radar: Questa at Club Nautico

Posted by Franki Weddington on Aug. 26, 2009, at 12:00 am

Welcome to On the Radar, where we preview up-and-coming arts events to mark your calendar for. Today’s edition is a new play at Club Nautico, where “all are welcome.”

If you’re looking for a place to avoid Ronda Storms (or maybe run into Charlie Crist), I’d put my money on Gypsy Productions’ new show, Questa – which promises to offer poignant insight on sexuality, spirituality, love and loss. After Paul, the victim of an attempted gay bashing, kills (perhaps accidentally) his attacker, he’s overcome with guilt. He seeks redemption and solace by secretly following his victim’s mother, hoping to ease her pain. (Pictured: Daniel DiPiazza and Daniel Harris in Questa. Photo by Brad Minus.) Through Sept. 13, 7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 3 and 7:30 p.m. Sun., Club Nautico, 4900 66th St., St. Petersburg, $20, nauticostpete.com. – Franki Weddington
