I write this blog with much regret: My favorite addiction and guiltiest pleasure, Jon and Kate Plus Eight, takes its final curtain call next month. I am honestly in shock. I thought I would follow the Gossellin children through the rough teen years and off into college. I don’t know what I’m going to do without Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Leah, and Alexis (pictured) in my life. I do have a sneaking suspicion that their camera whore of a mother, Kate will somehow find a way to bring them back in my life — until then I’m not really sure what to do. I have tried other shows with multiples — the Jon and Kate “knock offs” — but they never live up. Just because you have a million kids does not mean they are Jon and Kate’s plus eight.

I am completely distraught over this and cant believe I will never see Joel get his first girlfriend (or boyfriend, I think we’re a little on the fence with him) or Hannah have her first pregnancy scare. Jon and Kate Plus Eight has been a guilty pleasure of mine since the beginning: The adorable eight kids (well, at least seven are adorable, Mady’s kind of a little bitch), the loving marriage of Jon and Kate, and my sadistic curiosity about when everything would fall apart. Well, ladies and gentleman, that time has come — although many thought that time had come when they announced their divorce and Jon was sleeping with as many 20-somethings he could get his hands on. As I float around my pool today, naked of course, I fantasize about things I’d like to do naked.  Some of these things may be risky and others just goofy, but all fun.

Besides jumping in the pool naked, I’ve walked around a private club naked, attended a swingers party naked, and I’ve actually danced on a stripper pole a time or two naked. But I still fantasize about a few other things i could do in my birthday suit. Read the rest of this entry »

Gossip Girl never has a lack of scandal and lies, but tonight seemed to be a little more about spilling the truth….or at least half of the truth. I’ve been waiting for Scott to spill his secret about being Rufus and Lily’s illegitimate bastard sine he popped up in the end of last season, but just as in real life with most men, when the big moment came, he did not deliver. Instead of telling the truth about who he is, he copped out and said he was the brother of Rufus and Lily’s fake dead son, so of course he ran away before he got into anymore trouble in his web of lies.

He is not the only one running away, though. Dan was spotted doing the wall of shame by none other than Serena (gotta love it when you’re having sex with your ex-girlfriend’s/faux half sister’s arch enemy…and then get caught). Georgina and Dan are new-found fuck buddies, so things are not necessarily how they seem. Dan should really know Georgina better by now. Read the rest of this entry »

Our favorite Upper East Siders started college this week. Dan, Vanessa and Blair all are at NYU, Nate’s starting at Columbia soon, and Serena is off to Brown, right? Maybe not. In her apparent quest to be the center of attention, Serena decided Brown was not the right decision for her. Ivy League just isn’t good enough for this van der Woodsen, so Serena is taking the path less traveled for now, socializing with martinis and Manolo Blahniks and living her fabulous life. Who needs college when you have limos, crazy woods sex with Carter Basin, and the world at your fingertips? At least for now…we’ll see what happens when Lily comes home.

While Serena is “finding herself,” guess who found Blair Waldorf? None other than Georgina Sparks (our favorite villain!) who is now also her new roommate. Welcome to your freshman year from hell, Blair! Let the battle for Queen B begin. While Blair tries and fails with headbands and sake (see above for proof), Georgina throws a boho chic rooftop rager. But Blair never admits defeat that early. Instead, she calls in new recruits in the form of missionaries from Georgina’s past at bible camp, all sporting shirts that say OMJC and tambourines… cause everyone loves a good Jesus party. OMFGG, Gossip Girl season three give us plenty of scandal, sex, and gossip  to go around.

The end of last season left us all with burning questions: How will Dan and Serena’s half brother fit into the story? Will Serena find her dad? Will Lily and Rufus be for real this time?
