Dethroned beauty queen, Carrie Prejean’s, sex tape scandal (SFW video)

Posted by Sex and Love editor on Nov. 10, 2009, at 10:17 am

Carrie-PrejeanCarrie Prejean is the latest tabloid queen, poised to gain ever more fame and fortune off her pubic indiscretions. The latest twist in this dethroned beauty queen’s saga comes in the form a “sex tape,” which lawyers for the Miss California USA Pageant unveiled in court against Prejean. The video was apparently so powerful that Prejean quickly settled for little more than what would cover her legal fees. Read the rest of this entry »

Routes Music, Indio: A look at Phish Festival 8 from the costumes to the light show

Posted by Alex Pickett on Nov. 3, 2009, at 10:36 am

Routes Music is a documentary film acting as a roving music census, taking in the true musical passions (and disgusts) of the American people. We’re traveling all across the country, stopping along the way to interview local bands, take footage of live performances and chat with anyone and everyone. Learn more about the documentary here; check out all previous entries here.

“Where eeez yer pipe?”

A 6’4 security guard towered over me, glaring.

“Where eeez yer pipe?” he repeated in a thick Islands accent.

“What?” I replied, not sure he really just asked me what I think he just asked me.

“Where eeez yer pipe?” he asked again.

“My what?” I said again, still shocked.

“Yer pipe. Yer pipe.”

Now he was aggravated. I’m enjoying feigning ignorance.

“I don’t know what you’re saying, man.”

The guard switches tactics.

“Drugs?”

I smile.

“No, no drugs.”

“OK, go ahead.”

So began my very first experience at an extended-day music festival, and only my second time ever seeing the seminal jam band, Phish. Luckily, the rest of the three-day fest at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif. went smoother than my entry.

Routes Music, Austin: The ghost of Michael Jackson appears near Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas (with photos!)

Posted by Alex Pickett on Oct. 27, 2009, at 2:19 pm

routes1An unexpected but enthralling update from Phil Bardi of Routes Music:

Austin is a city with a long tradition of many things, from mass murders to good music. So, it’s no surprise that many claim the state capital of Texas is haunted.

On Saturday, while coming down Brazos Drive in downtown Austin, I snapped some photos of Driskill Hotel.

While looking through my pictures tonight, I came upon these two similar photos:

This picture shows the Driskill Hotel (not digitally altered) Read the rest of this entry »

Bibliophilic Burlesque: naked girls reading (video & photos NSFW)

Posted by Miss Ginger Millay on Oct. 26, 2009, at 9:18 pm

marsh-nude-woman-reading-pastels-early-1940sEye candy rubbed elbows with intellectual stimulation last weekend at Madame X, a dimly-lit bar in Greenwich Village. I’ve seen many burlesque shows since I moved to Manhattan, but none as thrilling as this performance by Naked Girls Reading. Lead by burlesque star and NGR creator, Michelle L’amour, the performance featured beautiful, nude women reading selections from banned books.

Doesn’t sound sexy? You’re crazy! But perhaps this clip and some photos* from the show will change your mind… Read the rest of this entry »

Concert review: Junior Boys at Crowbar in Ybor City (with pics)

Posted by Leilani Polk on Oct. 26, 2009, at 10:12 am

The bump-and-groove crew was in high spirits as we enjoyed a brief reprieve from our regular lives and shed the stresses of the week to take a ride on the Junior Boys’ indie train to electro jam land. [All photos by elawgrrl.]

Junior Boys 10.23.09 - 33

The stage was bathed in saturated lights and scattered with Halloween trimmings; flickering jack-o-lanterns, a crow perched on the keys, a huge skull and crossbones hanging over the drums, rainbow spears of light shining up and out of the drumkit and into the audience, and occasional blasts of fog for extra effect. Fantasy Fest, 7 days of painted naked people (NSFW photos)

Posted by Ginger Ale on Oct. 21, 2009, at 10:30 am

fantasy fest 2008.3

I don’t know how many of you are aware of the week long debauchery party that takes place in Key West every year: AKA Fantasy Fest. This year they’re celebrating 30 years of parades, painted naked people, drunken stupors, and casual sex. Fantasy Fest originated as a way to bring tourists to Key West in the off season. What better way to bring people to an island during hurricane season than to entice them with a giant Halloween street party with alcohol and painted naked people. I’m looking forward to the painted naked people the most. What can I say, I can see people in drunken stupors in downtown St. Pete, have causal sex on a Tuesday night at home, and see a parade at the drop of a dime in Tampa, but there’s not too many places I can see painted naked people first hand.

Tits in the city: pics from NYC’s ‘Go Topless Day’ Celebration (NSFW)

Posted by Miss Ginger Millay on Aug. 25, 2009, at 12:03 am

Sunday, 8/23 was National Go Topless Day, a celebration of women’s equality, including their right to forgo shirts. Festivities took place in several cities including Maui, Miami, Chicago, Portland and, of course, New York.

I went to check out the action at “Boobstock” in Central Park, if only for the opportunity to feel the liberation of wearing just a miniskirt and flip flops on a hot summer day. Boobs of all  shapes and sizes came out to play. Some were beautiful, others had seen better days, but regardless, the mood of the crowd was exhilarating. Read the rest of this entry »

Sexy green lingerie will tickle you pink and help clean up the environment

Posted by Brian Roberts on Jul. 2, 2009, at 8:00 am

This article started out as a way to explore pollution caused by the fashion and textile industry, but quickly became focused um, er…elsewhere…

TheDailyGreen is (gratuitously, fortunately) rounding up a list of designers and companies that are using sustainable business models and practices to help reduce the very large impact the textile industry has on the environment.

More natural materials such as chiffon, hemp, and organic cotton are being used, along with unexpected items such as bamboo and recycled materials like rubber from tennis shoes are all being made into hot, hot, sexy lingerie by designers all over the world.  All in the name of saving the planet, of course.
