Wine Exchange - Re-opening!

June 5th, 2007 by Brian Ries in Gossip, Openings/Closings, Restaurants

This just in - The Wine Exchange will not be closing permanently.

Apparently, the restaurant will be maintaining their current location until they can move into the “Heart Of The Village” space that is currently under construction. Official re-opening should be the beginning of next week. Official - and confusing - press release after the jump.

“We are thrilled to remain a part of Hyde Park Village. After the outpouring
of support from the community and our customers. David Wasserman convinced
us to continue to work together to keep The Wine Exchange open. With their
help and assistance, and a little refurbishing, we will be reopening the
existing restaurant while under construction with the new restaurant in the
“heart of the Village.” Our staff and management are committed to providing
the same quality of service and reasonable prices that our customers have
enjoyed over the last 18 years. We would also like to express our
appreciation to the Wassermans for their dedication to Hyde Park Village and
to the neighborhood for their support. “

‘Bout time the boneheads at Wasserman realized Wine Exchange is the ONLY reason anyone ventures to Hyde Park Village… long live wine bars in South Tampa!
