The Duck & Herring Co. Radio Hour

January 26, 2007 at 5:07 pm by David Lee Simmons in Randomly Noted

The beauty about blogging is you can provide shameless promotion for your friends and, regardless of whether you provide full disclosure, you can get away with it.
So, yes, I confess that Im familiar with most of the names of the folks involved in The Duck & Herring Radio Hour onSat., 7:30 p.m., at the Little Shop of Stories in Decatur. Some even have written for Cree-Lo, and one still does! But this delightful crowd behind the Duck & Herring Pocket Field Guide delivers the goods as part of Atlantas scrappy literary scene.
On Saturday, to announce their latest Guide, theyll be featuring noted authors Hollis Gillespie, Jack Pendarvis and Chuck Rosenthal telling fun stories, with D&H editors Jamie Allen, Thomas Bell and Terra Elan McVoy (dont you find three-named people pretentious?) singing to a strumming guitar. Its all being recorded for podcast (hence the Radio in Radio Hour), and theres the promise of an interesting dance phenomenon. We remain skeptical about that one.
