Atlanta blogs today: Laughter, kittens and cruises
May 4, 2007 at 10:45 am by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsChambliss is laughing somewhere.
– Jason Pye at Peach Pundit on a report that Vernon Jones’ Senate campaign has raised just $8,000. Incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss’ campaign has more than $2.8 million available.
I do love how self-described “fiscal conservatives” roll over like newborn kittens when the DOT comes strokin’. No amount of spending is too shocking.
– GriftDrift mocks AJC’s columnist Jim Wooten’s support for the proposed $4 billion re-jiggering of the I-75/I-575 interchange.
If you ever get the chance I definitely recommend going on a Gay Cruise for a vacation (if you are gay of course).
– B.J. at SodomyCreek.net on his recent Hawaiian vacation. I don’t recommend reading the entire post, but do yourself a favor and look at the souvenir photos he posted.

Screw Chambliss. I wrote him once as a part of a petition to vote down the Defense of Marriage Amendment (I firmly believe that as marriage is a civil matter, the federal government has no business asserting authority over it), and one of the jerkoff’s interns replied to me saying that he was voting for it anyways. It wasn’t even a handwritten reply either – it was a pre-typed response!
To think that the people we elect to serve us in Congress would follow their own agenda and ignore the views of their constituents! Oh wait – this is America! I forgot where I was for a second!

Ray, just because Sonny took a position opposite to your own does not mean he ignored his constituents. Even though I agree with your position on marriage, I recognize that we live in Georgia where most people still feel homosexuality is immoral and wrong. I’m not saying that is only reason Sonny took the position he did but it sure would be a valid excuse.

I was bitching about Saxby Chambliss, not Sonny Per-duh.
