SHOCK: Marietta bans apple pie and moms
June 27, 2007 at 5:00 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsMARIETTA - Hours after rescinding a rule that would have banned VFW marchers from handing out American flags during the city’s Fourth of July parade, Marietta officials are once again courting controversy.
This afternoon, officials from the Marietta Department of Symbolism announced a citywide ban on apple pie and moms. The ban takes effect July 4.
Said a city spokesperson: “We’d love to be on Drudge. We’re all big fans.”
