Where’s the mayor?
July 16, 2007 at 4:21 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsKeeping up with Mayor Shirley Franklin’s second-term travels is hard work.For some reason, the “city calendar†at www.atlantaga.gov never seems to say where she is. Neither will her office, which has greeted recent CL inquiries about her whereabouts by telling us to file requests under Georgia’s Open Records Act.
In recent months, Franklin has visited Asia, Canada, New York, Las Vegas and, er, Tuskegee, Ala. Last week, the mayor spent seven days at a conference in Italy. We might not have known if not for the nice postcard she sent us.
