Monica Bowie kidnapping suspect charged
September 14, 2007 at 5:09 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsYesterday DeKalb County Police charged 24-year-old Jasper Keels of Decatur in connection with the kidnapping of Monica Renee Bowie. Bowie has been missing since July 5.
Police believe Bowie was kidnapped from the parking lot of her apartment near Lenox Square mall. Keels has been in custody since July 8 for stealing the car witnesses saw fleeing Bowie’s apartment complex the night of the kidnapping.
11 Alive reports that police believe the motive for the kidnapping was “illegal narcotics activity.”
