Cynthia McKinney launches 2008 presidential bid
December 11, 2007 at 3:12 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in NewsEx-U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney launched her bid for the 2008 Green Party presidential nomination with a speech Dec. 4 at Texas Southern University.
A right-wing website reports the former congresswoman from DeKalb County compared her campaign to a revolution in Haiti. I haven’t read a transcript or listened to a recording of the speech, but I doubt she’s attempting to lure voters by promising to make the U.S. more like the hemisphere’s poorest nation.
In the meantime, here’s a speech she gave at Baruch College in New York last month. The speech is little more than a list of what she considers America’s gravest ills: poverty, racism, election fraud, 9/11 conspiracies, etc. I suspect her presidential campaign launch covered some of the same ground.

I am so happy
HAPPY that she is running! FINALLY a candidate that is for the people, not just the rich folks, and the condemed dirty war machine companies! She will present a voice that NO OTHER CANDIDATE will speak about, she will provide truth and honesty to the lies and dirty government that the evil dems/reps (same species) are trying to retain. They evil politicians will continue to spread lies and disinformation about honest people cause they can not battle on the podium with truth and justice from the american people. Finally when the people gets pushed around so much that they finally revolt and revolutionize the world and bring integrity back to the United States! I stand behind Cynthia and make enemies with ALL who get in her way!
YES all people who tarish the reputation of a proven leader, to continue the lies and illegal injustice of war will reap justice!
Keep fighting against the real movement for all people by the people and we will fight together
