Hundreds of people waited hours in the cold weather Sunday morning to get a seat to hear Obama speak at Ebenezer Baptist Church; many were turned away after capacity was met.

During his speech, Obama referred to himself as a “hopemonger” and called unity the great call of the hour. “I’m taking about an inability to recognize ourselves in one another, to understand that we are our brother’s keeper, we are our sister’s keeper — that, in the words of Dr. King, we are all tied together in a single garment of destiny.”

After the speech, Obama laid a wreath at the grave of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.
