Thank you, Republican primary voters
January 30, 2008 at 10:11 am by Andisheh Nouraee in Not-lantaI’m celebrating Sen. John McCain’s victory in Florida last night.
With the win, McCain seemingly has a lock on the Republican presidential nomination. This means that, of the three remaining candidates (McCain, Clinton, Obama) with a realistic shot at the White House, not one supports the Bush policy of torturing prisoners or detaining them in perpetuity without access to courts.
Two of the Bush administration’s most shameful, profoundly un-American policies will end in January 2009.
It’s not everything, but it’s something.

I sure to god hope Barack can pull this one out.
I can not possibly look at John McCain’s leathery, turtle neck skin for four, possibly eight years.

I share your optimism, but I’m saddened that
1) If Obama doesn’t win, it’s going to get ugly…real soon, and it won’t be Karl Rove pulling the trigger. Look for the Keating Five / North Vietnamese Candidate.
2) McCain, despite his progressive streaks, is very very conservative, and has never wavered in his support of the fraudulent ideas on which the Iraq war was based.
3) I will go back to hating ATLMalcontent
