Judd’s duds wow AJC.com readers

February 20, 2008 at 10:21 am by Andisheh Nouraee in News

I was in fine spirits when I woke up this morning.

Then I noticed that the most popular story on AJC.com is still “Ashley Judd’s attire raises eyebrows in NASCAR garage.” It’s been the most popular story since Sunday.

Meanwhile, Mayor Franklin’s mismanagement of the city’s budget (the most important local news story since DroughtWatch’07), can only be found deep within the site’s Metro section.

Our city government is lousy. But no lousier than we deserve.

I am infinitely frustrated by the fact that I have to scroll down, click, then scroll down again, click again in order to view actual Atlanta news on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s website.

I’m guilty of reading that story this morning, although more out of curiosity as opposed to any interest in NASCAR or Ashley Judd’s fashion sense.

Obviously the solution is to have Ashley Judd show up to the Mayor’s press conferences in revealing clothing. Or if she’s too busy, maybe Jose Lima’s wife is available?

Yeah, yeah, whatever Andisheh, but what was Ashley Judd wearing anyway? Can’t wait to check out the news section at the ol’ Atlanta Journalism newsweb to find out!

Newsflash: Online readers like celebrity news.

    Thanks for the insight!

I’m sure the AJC is using metrics to determine what to place in the most prominent positions on their site. They are in effect giving the people what they want. I just went to the site and they have a spring break image in the hero sport with some hot girls next to the lead story about the House vote on the Tenn river.
