Word: ‘Ravished our virgins’

June 15, 2008 at 5:00 pm by Andisheh Nouraee in News

web-news_word1-1_7.jpgLocal conservative columnist and college English instructor Mary Grabar is critical of academics who support the presidential candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.

“Obama’s advance troops have already taken over our college campuses, have bound and gagged our conservative professors, have ravished our virgins, have pillaged our stores of wisdom, and have ensconced themselves in the thrones of power in deans’, presidents’ and department heads’ offices.”

Grabar, in a column published June 9 at Townhall.com.

“The snotty kids who made fun of my language grew up to embrace Spanish and promote bilingualism in the workplace and in schools. Most of them support Barack Obama.”

Grabar, who moved to the U.S. from Slovenia as a child, in a May 9 column Townhall column.

    I’m shocked anyone would make fun of Mary’s “language.” It’s her writing they should ridicule. What a maroon!

  2. Me Says:

    She is easily the worst writer with a PhD in English that I’ve ever encountered.

  3. DaleC Says:

    Even an idiot can get an “edumacation” and she isn’t the first PhD I thought was a doofus. I recall one college prof who said that she had “never seen any evidence that private enterprise was more efficient than government”.

    BS = well, we know what that means
    Master = master of BS
    PhD = Piled high and deep
