Votes for Jim Powell may — or may not — be counted

From an email received from the Secretary of State’s office, with emphasis added:
As provided for in Georgia law (O.C.G.A. 21-2-5(e)), Mr. Powell has the right to appeal the Secretary of State’s final decision. Mr. Powell filed a petition in Fulton County Superior Court, and the Court granted a stay of the Secretary of State’s final decision. The election will proceed as planned, and Mr. Powell’s name will appear on the ballot. Votes for Mr. Powell will be tallied and votes may or may not be counted based on the outcome of the appeal.

Georgia’s Secretary of State Karen C. Handel is one dirty individual who will do whatever she can to sabotage any Democrat she feels poses a threat to one of her close Republican constituents. As a Republican, I used to have a lot of admiration for her because I thought she was about playing fair. But I see now she is another typical “politician” who is giving the Republican Party a bad name. Several strong grass-root Republicans like myself have been discussing her and everyone I speak with has something negative to say about her job performance. I promise if its the last thing I do, we’re going to have a surprise waiting for her when her own time for election comes around again. She barely got in the last time, but we felt sorry for her. That won’t happen again. Karen C. Handel must go!
