Photo Clichés
July 23, 2008 at 11:47 am by Andisheh Nouraee in BlogrollA new blog called Photo Clichés collects photos of people in poses so popular that they’ve become, well, photo clichés.
The blog is new and thus far has only five clichés: I’m king of the world, Jaws at Universal Studios, see no evil, statue groping and Lynndie England — named for the former U.S. Army reservist infamous for posing with a cigarette dangling from her mouth, while pointing at prisoners in photos taken at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
This photo of a woman pointing Lynndie England-style at a martini is posted on Photo Clichés as the lynndie-tini:
I hope the site starts collecting examples one of my favorite photo clichés, college girls leaning into one another for a group pic. Those always make me laugh.
