Oh Dale, can’t you just admit that this was a cynical and impulsive choice by McCain? If going with a Vagina-American was so critical, there are at least a dozen other qualified Republican women. Six years ago, this woman was mayor of a town with 9,000 people. You can’t possibly be comfortable with the idea of her being president if McCain were incapacitated or worse.

Look, as a POW, which I was for four years, I know the difficulties we face. Governor Palin has visited the troops in Iraq. As someone who was once a POW, I wanted someone I could trust with the soldiers, because I was in the armed forces.
