BMF’s ‘Meech’ and ‘Southwest T’ get 30 years
September 12, 2008 at 4:28 pm by Mara Shalhoup in BMF, NewsDETROIT — Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother, Terry “Southwest T,” were sentenced in federal court today to 30 years in prison for running the $270 million cocaine empire the Black Mafia Family.
BMF, which had one of its two hubs in Atlanta, has been linked to some of the city’s more sensational crimes and some of its best-known rappers, including Young Jeezy. Jeezy was implicated in BMF’s cocaine ring during the trial earlier this year of BMF’s third-in-command. The rapper has not been charged with a crime relating to the feds’ BMF investigation.

Meech, 40, and Terry, 38, pleaded guilty in November 2007 to running a continuing criminal enterprise. They’ve been locked up since their charges were unsealed in Detroit three years ago.
“I don’t think ‘I’m sorry’ is the right thing to say,” Meech told the judge minutes before he was sentenced. “’I’m sorry’ is what people say when they get caught.”
The CCE charge — which is similar to a RICO, or Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations case — can carry a life sentence, though the guilty pleas all but guaranteed that the brothers would serve less time. The government was pushing for 30-year sentences, though the judge indicated in November that he might be willing to go as low as the minimum 20 years. There is no parole in the federal system.

The Flenorys are among nearly 150 BMF associates who have been indicted in seven states: Georgia, Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri and California. The majority of those cases have been resolved — most recently, the federal trial in Atlanta of BMF’s third-in-command, Fleming “Ill” Daniels.
Daniels and several of his co-defendants, including the rapper Barima “Bleu DaVinci” McKnight, who pleaded guilty to cocaine charges, will be sentenced later this year.

I wonder if this means anyone will now assault an Oasis brother again? In retaliation and stuff like that of course. For mouthing off about rappers and shit. Or was that another rapper named J-Z-whateverthef*ck? They do kinda blur together after a while. Almost as much as the trash-talk out of the mouth of Liam Gallagher. Oh damn . Is this not the Rolling Stone blog? Shit. In media overload mode again. Hate when that happens. Rehab is a bitch, eh? Nothin’ to do but surf the ‘net, drink Tab and smoke Capris.

Ok! Is there any chance that the FEDS could review their sentence in exchange for information on Puffy and all the dirty dealings he’s been involved in with these fellas? Everyone knows BMF gave Puffy and that Fat Dude their start by bankrolling their businesses. That’s common knowledge. It would seem to me that there might now be some real inspiration on the part of the Flenory’s to start shootin’ off at the mouth since 30 years is more than ANYONE realistically expected. Everybody I talked to was thinking in the realm of 9 years. But 30!?! That was just way on the other side of the moon. Nevertheless, let’s hope Blew Davinci and Jeezy get their come-uppance next. I can’t wait to see that criminal Jeezy locked the f*ck up. Mrs. Winna, OUT!

Oh yeah, about the Puffy connection. Don’t forget that his restaurant, Justin’s, was BMF’s laundromat for years. The Feds really ought to do a complete and detailed audit of Justin’s books (prior to the Anthony “Wolf” Jones [along with his boy, Riz] murking in buckhead back in 2003). How else would anyone be able to explain the 2 to 3 to 4 to 5hunnert K’s that passed thru there a week. It will provide the IRS with a mother lode of criminal tax-evasion, etc. Oh, but I forgot, it was Puffy who snitched on Meech & SWT in the first place. Nevermind!
