Indictment in beating of fitness trainer

Apollo Holmes was arrested in January and is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery in connection with the Dec. 26, 2007, attack on Darius Miller. …
Miller, now 42, was beaten by a group of men after he tried to stop them from videotaping two of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin’s daughters outside a Peachtree Street nightclub. …
Miller lapsed into a coma a short time later, and remains comatose, [Fulton District Attorney spokeswoman Yvette] Brown said Friday.
