I participated in the 5k, went home and cleaned up and returned with a couple of family members for the Chili tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed the very tiny amount of chili that was left. Edward, if we must get to the event by noon to actually eat chili, perhaps it should be advertised that way. I got a free spoon with my race entry but my family members ended up paying for the privilege of not getting any chili. Not a good value. The crafts festival was grand too BTW and we took home several treasures. I'd do it again next year but I'd eat first. Please encourage the vendors to plan on bringing more next time!

Thanks for coming out, Andisheh.

Believe it or not, we had a lot more chili this year than last - almost 50% more - and it did actually last a bit longer this year. Unfortunately for attendees, it's the case every year that you have to get to Chomp & Stomp close to noon or get left out in the cold. All the chili is graciously donated by the contestants so we don't have much control over how much is ultimately served.

Glad you still had fun, though. Please come back in 2009. Around noon.

P.S. - To everyone else reading this, I can't make any pledges about the volume of chili we'll have next year but I promise we will have a lot more port-o-potties.
